What You’ll Do:
We are a fast-growing FinTech startup looking for a Data Scientist / Data Analyst who is excited about using data to drive financial products, risk decisions, and customer insights.
You’ll work closely with product, engineering, risk, and business teams to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
● Analyze large-scale financial and transactional data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
● Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for business, product, and leadership teams
● Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand customer behavior, fraud patterns, and product performance
● Develop statistical models or basic machine learning models for risk scoring, segmentation, or forecasting
● Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into data solutions
●Track key FinTech metrics such as conversion, churn, default rates, fraud indicators, and revenue metrics
● Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting systems
● Support A/B testing and experiment analysis for product and pricing decisions
What We’re Looking For:
●2–3 years of experience in Data Analysis / Data Science, preferably in FinTech or financial services
● Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
● Solid experience with SQL and relational databases
● Strong understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and data modeling
● Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as:
○ Tableau
○ Power BI
○ Looker / Looker Studio
○ Metabase / Superset (or similar BI tools)
● Ability to present insights through clear visual storytelling for non-technical stakeholders
Good to Have (Nice to Have)
● Experience working with financial, lending, payments, or transaction data
● Exposure to credit risk, fraud detection, AML, or underwriting models
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
● Experience with machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, XGBoost)
● Knowledge of FinTech KPIs, compliance, and regulatory reporting
● Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
