Role: Senior QA Engineer (Automation)

Work Hours: India Standard Time (Team Sync-ups in PST)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Occasional visits in office of Pune or Bangalore)
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Big Data environments, ETL testing, and automation. This role focuses on validating large-scale data systems, working with terabytes of data, and ensuring quality across complex data pipelines in an on-premise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute automation and manual test cases for Big Data applications
Perform ETL testing and ensure regression coverage for large-scale data pipelines
Build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Protractor, or similar tools
Conduct API and performance testing using tools like Rest Assured, SoapUI, and JMeter
Work with large datasets and validate data accuracy, consistency, and transformations
Collaborate with global teams, stakeholders, and developers
Participate in test planning, defect tracking, and release processes
Ensure quality across the full SDLC in a Big Data environment
Requirements
Strong experience in QA automation and manual testing
Proficiency in Java or Python
Experience with ETL testing and Big Data systems (large-scale data validation)
Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Protractor, TestComplete)
Experience with API testing tools (Rest Assured, SoapUI, JMeter)
Experience working with large datasets (terabytes of data)
Strong collaboration and communication skills
