As a MERN Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining full stack applications that handle real production traffic and complex business workflows.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy ownership, backend-heavy problem solving, and working on systems that scale.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using the MERN stack.
- Build robust backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Develop frontend interfaces using React.js with a focus on performance and usability.
- Design MongoDB schemas and write efficient queries and aggregation pipelines.
- Implement caching strategies using Redis to improve performance and reliability.
- Work with messaging and queue systems for background processing and async workflows.
- Contribute to and work within a microservices-based architecture.
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to scalability decisions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Debug and resolve production issues and improve system stability.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of professional experience working with the MERN stack.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
- Solid experience with MongoDB, including schema design and aggregation framework.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with REST APIs.
- Experience working with microservices-based architecture.
- Familiarity with caching mechanisms and messaging/queue systems.
- Understanding of system design principles and scalability considerations.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of features end-to-end.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on a production system with 5,000+ active users.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Interest in or prior exposure to the Fintech / Wealthtech industry.
